    Prevent Suicide NJ (PSNJ) is the Garden State’s most comprehensive resource for suicide prevention. PSNJ strives to collaborate with state departments, professional and community organizations, schools and families to reduce suicide, diminish the stigma of suicide, and support those touched by suicide.

    2nd Floor Youth Helpline

    2NDFLOOR is a 24/7 confidential and anonymous helpline for New Jersey's youth and young adults. We are here to help you find solutions to the problems that you face at home, at school or at play.

    The Suicide Prevention Resource Center

    Provides accurate data, up-to-date research, resources and knowledge of effective strategies and interventions that are essential to preventing suicide.

    The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

    AFSP is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.

    American Association of Suicidology (AAS)

    To promote the understanding and prevention of suicide and support those who have been affected by it.

    Erika's Lighthouse

    Erika's Lighthouse is a grassroots, educational organization dedicated to raising awareness of adolescent depression and mental health for young people.

    The JED Foundation

    JED is a nonprofit that exists to protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. They partner with high schools and colleges to strengthen their mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention programs and systems.

    The JASON Foundation

    Provides information about youth suicide and provides free educational materials for teachers and youth/workers.

    The Trevor Project

    The Trevor Project is an American nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates The Trevor Lifeline, a confidential service that offers trained counselors.

    An organization that teaches skills and provides tools for those who struggle with suicidal thoughts and emotions. The tools provided are useful for most people for many problems.

    Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE)

    SAVE’s work is based on the foundation and belief that suicide is preventable and everyone has a role to play in preventing suicide. Through raising public awareness, educating communities, and equipping every person with the right tools, we know we can SAVE lives.

    The Steve Fund

    The Steve Fund is dedicated to the mental health and emotional well-being of students of color.

    Attitudes in Reverse (AIR)

    Attitudes In Reverse’s mission is to create a community of understanding, kindness and empathy through mental health education and awareness.

    The Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS)

    SPTS's mission is to reduce the number of youth suicides and attempted suicides by encouraging public awareness through the development and promotion of educational training programs.

    SafeSide Prevention Training for Primary Care

    SafeSide Primary CARE training provides a framework for responding to suicide concerns within the time and resource constraints of primary care. Co-taught by a primary care psychologist, Dr. Tony Pisani and a suicide attempt survivor, Kristina Mossgraber, the framework comes to life in video-based teaching from these two perspectives and brief skill demonstrations by real primary care providers.
