Bergen County Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services
The Bergen County Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services is able to provide Bergen County residents with referrals to mental health agencies as well as addiction treatment programs. We support the Municipal Alliances as well as the Stigma-Free Initiative. Give our office a call if you need help navigating these systems - 201-634-2750.
262-HELP – a program of CarePlus – is Bergen County’s Designated Psychiatric Emergency Screening Program. The purpose of 262-HELP is to provide emergency mental health services to residents of Bergen County. Call 201-262-HELP (4357) when you or a loved one are experiencing a mental health crisis. There is a fee for all evaluations, however, it is often covered by health insurance. No individual will ever be denied services due to an inability to pay.
CBH Care provides community-based mental and behavioral health services in Northern New Jersey.
Northern NJ non-profit provides recovery-focused integrated mental health care, substance abuse rehabilitation, psychiatry, therapy for adults and children.

Bergen County Law Project
The Community Mental Health Law Project is a special law office designed to provide services to the chronically mentally ill of Bergen County. The project is an active participant in the community mental health system and receives referrals from both the private and public sectors. The Law Project handles a large number of family law matters, such as divorce, visitation, custody and support issues.
