    Haworth's Weight Loss Challenge

    The Mayors Wellness Campaign and the Haworth Board of Health are challenging you to make Haworth a healthier place with the Second Annual Haworth Weight-­‐Loss Challenge. The program is free and open to all Haworth residents and Borough employees.

    The goal of this training is to provide an experiential and conceptual framework from which to explore the use of mindfulness-based stress reduction in both professional and personal contexts.

    The Bergenfield Mayors' Wellness Challenge 2017 Kick Off

    Kickoff: March 19th 2:00pm – 5:00pm

     

    Pep up your energy after winter! 2017 marks our fourth year as participating in this County wide health program. Join in on the fun!

     

    The kick off dates offers an afternoon of health information and health screenings by experts, free chair massage & low cost to free exercise for all levels of ability are being offered at this 6 week program.

     

    Weekly weigh-ins are on Thursdays between 4-6 pm at the Bergenfield Health Department. Prizes are raffled off to participant who come in for 4 of the 6 weigh in dates.

    Englewood Moves Presents the 4th Annual Wellness Challenge

    April 24th– May 19th

    An exciting 4-week program designed to connect the community with local medical doctors, while engaging in physical activity.

     

    The program will have doctors from different specialties give a brief presentation on a health topic and then lead participants on their 1.5 mile walk.

     

    Everyday that you attend, you will be entered for a chance to win one of five cash prizes.

  • The Challenge is sponsored by the Community Health Improvement Partnership’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Task Force and local health officers.

     

    The Challenges align with the Mayors Wellness Campaigns and offer free and reduced-cost fitness and wellness education opportunities. The Challenge varies from town to town with some offering weekly weigh-ins and others offering walking programs.

     

    The programs are supported through partnerships of some local health departments, The Valley Hospital, Holy Name Medical Center, town councils, fitness centers, supermarkets, YMCAs, community organizations and other local businesses and will run for 8-12 weeks.
